A person answers during business hours. Send the vessel, the voyage and the receiving door if you already have a container booked, and the desk will reply with a hold plan and a first realistic window.

Before you call

What the desk needs to answer well

The fastest way to get a useful answer is to send five specifics: the vessel name, the voyage number, the bill of lading reference, the receiving warehouse door, and the hour by which the shipment must be on the dock. With those five, the desk can check hold capacity, look at the chit status and propose a window that is actually possible.

If you do not have all five, send what you do have. A first-time importer will usually have the bill of lading and a warehouse address, and that is enough to start the file. For an existing restock program, the desk already holds the standing calendar, so a short message naming the shipment and the requested week is sufficient.

For document courier requests, say whether the set is time-critical and who has to sign. For customs chit questions, attach the invoice and the packing list in the same message so the desk can check them together rather than asking twice.

Frequently asked

Three questions the desk hears often

As early as the booking is confirmed with the supplier. A hold booked two weeks before sailing is routine; a hold requested the morning the vessel berths is a favour, and during a busy season it may not be possible. If the vessel is already at sea, send the manifest and the desk will tell you what capacity remains.
Yes, and it is reissued rather than stretched. A new written window with a named hour keeps the agreement intact for the terminal, the driver and the receiving warehouse. Changes made on the day are handled by phone first and confirmed by email the same afternoon.
Single containers are welcome. Most clients begin with one shipment to test the berth, and a restock program is only proposed once the pattern is clear. Call +12769457798 or write to import@ngdimpex.autos to start a single booking.
